Level 5: This language course is suitable for people who have had 80 to 90 hours of teaching, who have obtained an A-level in the past but have not practised the language for a while, or for those who have recently completed the UEA German Level 4 course.
Term duration 10 x weekly 2-hour classes, Wednesday evenings, 6:15pm to 8:15pm
Key Language
You will learn to understand and to discuss topical social, political, technological, and environmental issues. You will also give a presentation on a chosen topic, and generally learn to spontaneously express yourself more fluently in a variety of situations. The aim of the course is to consolidate your skills, and to increase your confidence.
This course equates to the B1 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Modern Languages (CEFR).
Grammar
Level-appropriate grammar is taught, and all four skills - listening comprehension, reading, speaking, and writing - are practised.
