Level 3 Classes: This course is suitable for people who feel comfortable with what is covered in Levels 1 and 2. You will already be able to communicate simple, basic needs, use familiar everyday expressions and talk in a very simple way about yourself, using the present tense. By the end of this course, you will be able to talk and write about what you do every day, and what you used to do.
In Level 3 we work at the A1 level of the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages)*.
Term duration 10 x weekly classes, Monday evenings, 6:15pm to 8:30pm
No class on Mon 4 May and Mon 25 May. Your final class will finish at 8:15pm.
Communicative themes may cover:
Expressing oneselfand understanding others when talking abouteveryday tasks and leisure activities
Discussing likes/dislikes in various contexts (during a meal, when on vacation etc.)
Describing homes and comparing accommodations
Expressing a simple opinion about work-life balance
Talking about daily routines in the past
Requesting and providing simple descriptions of dishes and describing special dietary needs
Reading simple recipes (ingredients and method of cooking/baking)

Comparatives: e.g. Το φόρεμά μου είναι μικρότερο από το δικό σου (Mydressissmallerthanyours)
Past continuous tense: e.g.Όταν ήμουνστηνΕλλάδα πέρυσιτο καλοκαίρι, πήγαινα στην παραλία κάθεμέρα (When I was in Greece lastsummer, I was going to the beach every day)
Adjectives: e.g.Δεθέλωπολλήζάχαρηστον καφέμου(I don'twant a lot ofsugar in my coffee)
Continuous imperative mode: e.g.Πάντα πίνενερότο πρωί (Always drink water in the morning)
The use of genitive case (indirect object): e.g. Ο Γιάννηςμουδάνεισετο αυτοκίνητότου (John lent me his car)
Subordinatenounclause (syntax): e.g. Νομίζω ότι η δουλειά μου δεν είναι πιο σημαντική από την οικογένειά μου (I thinkthatmyjobisnotmoreimportantthanmyfamily)
