Drama Studio Auditorium![]() The UEA Drama Studio is a flexible theatre space right in the heart of campus. The Studio Main Space is our premier performance space: seating up to 200 and stocked with the latest technical theatre equipment. As well as being the home of the UEA Drama degree programmes, the Studio is the venue for theatre, comedy, musicals and live literature at UEA. Both the Studio Auditorium and the Rehearsal Room venues are ground access, and seating arrangements for wheelchairs or other mobility requirements can be easily made – please inform the Studio by contacting [email protected] ahead of your visit. If you require support of a companion to access our venue, please let us know at the same address when booking a ticket and a complimentary ticket will be arranged. An analogue induction loop is fitted within the Studio Auditorium (but not the Rehearsal Room). If you have a digital hearing aid, please check with your audiologist that your aid is loop-enabled for use at the theatre. Registered assistance dogs are welcome and can be taken into the Studio Auditorium or the Rehearsal Room. Please inform the Studio by emailing [email protected] when booking your ticket. For the performance, a Steward will direct you to an appropriate seat and inform you of anything in the show that could affect you dog’s comfort. We regret we cannot offer that guide dogs be left in the care of front-of-house staff. Please be aware, this does not extend to emotional support animals, which cannot enter the auditoria. A popular newspaper, suspicious about some of the messages in its personal column, hires detectives to snoop on the arranged rendezvous. But nothing is quite what it seems, as the action shifts from an obviously fake wood to a dodgy high-society property and then to the audition room of a tv talent show. Nor are the characters easy to pin down, as they play out their competing fantasies: a crime-writer living out his scenarios, confused lovers of a variety of orientations, an Italian opera-conductor, a marquise who emits a stream of Parisian slang… not to mention a couple of fake trees and a talking horse. Perhaps not surprisingly, this world keeps bursting into song which comments on or sends it up. A riotous evening of theatrical deception awaits. Visit Sacré Théâtre's website for more information on the production including, in due course, a detailed synopsis and a glossary of slang terms used in the play. https://www.sacretheatre.co.uk/ Performance Dates: Ticket information We offer a range of ticket options at competative prices. Please note: We regret we cannot offer any refunds unless a performance is moved or cancelled. |
