Description

7th May 2026 - 9.30 - 12.30 (including 15 min break)
Online via Microsoft Teams.

Evolve Training provides online training sessions for people professionals - human resource directors and partners, wellbeing leads and organisational development specialists - who want to keep at the cutting edge of insight and action on workplace wellbeing issues.

The training is hosted and facilitated by members of the Evolve Workplace Wellbeing team from Norwich Business School, University of East Anglia.

See more details below...

Detailed Description

What the session covers:

  • It defines the key role of line managers as part of the ecosystem of creating a wellbeing learning organisation.
  • It helps people professionals understand the key contact points when recruiting and / or promoting managers to help them understand their role and responsibilities with regard to wellbeing.
  • It offers a chance for people professionals to review their current practices for involving line managers and action plan evidence-based approaches to take back to their businesses.
  • It highlights myths and poor practice examples drawn from extensive research, to allow people professionals to avoid common traps when enabling line managers.

What you will do:

  • Learn - ideas, principles, structured ways of planning and reviewing
  • Discuss - with your peers in the session, learning from each other's insights and questions
  • Generate ideas - think openly about long-term cultural change in your organisation, what is suitable for you, your sector and your colleagues
  • Plan - what you are going to take from the session into action in your organisation.

All our sessions focus on empowering people professionals to act in their own organisations, by building knowledge and capacity. We help people understand when they can use common principles and contrast that with when and how to tailor their responses to their specific context. Our approach is not a checklist, standard or quick fix - but for those of you who have already tried those and found that they do not 'move the dial' on wellbeing, we offer the next step in the journey.
