DescriptionThe British International History Group is the largest group of historians working in the field of international history. The group was formed in the mid-1980s and has run an annual conference (Covid withstanding) every year on a rotating basis at universities in the United Kingdom. We run a two-and-half day conference (Wednesday afternoon to Friday afternoon) in early September. The conference aims to attract established academic practitioners and provide a friendly and encouraging platform for PhD and early career academics to present their work. Full Conference Package: £350 The package includes registration, tea, coffee and lunch on Thursday and Friday, a pizza dinner on Wednesday, a wine reception on Thursday, the conference dinner and two nights bed and breakfast on Wednesday 3rd September and Thursday 4th September. PhD, unwaged and Retired Conference Package: £320. The full conference package covers registration, tea, coffee and lunch on Thursday and Friday, a pizza dinner on Wednesday, a wine reception on Thursday, the conference dinner and two nights bed and breakfast on Wednesday 3rd September and Thursday 4th September. Conference Attendance ONLY and Registration - these options exclude social activities. 1. Salaried Staff £180. 2. Early Bird £150 (payment by the extended deadline of 17 July 2025). 3. PhD, unwaged or retired £120. Please indicate which day you would prefer to attend (Weds/ Thurs/ Fri). This fee includes the refreshments for that specific day. Note this rate will not include bed and breakfast or the conference dinner.
