Arabic Level 3

Course Description

Level 3 Classes: You will have already mastered the Arabic script, pronunciation and basic language covered in Levels 1 and 2. We will continue the programme covered in the “Mastering Arabic 1” book series with further topics related to you and your immediate environment as well as the exploration of some relevant aspects of the Arab culture.

Term duration: 9x classes, Tuesday evenings, 6:15pm to 8:30pm. Your last class will finish at 8:15pm

Counting things 1 – 10: peculiarities of the Arabic language

Common Arab currencies

Visiting a typical market and buying souvenirs

Colours and plural nouns: going shopping

Eating and drinking: at the grocer’s and supermarket

Talking about your favourite dishes

Ordering food and drinks in a restaurant

Talking about what you did in the past (travel, weekend)

Famous dishes and drinks from Arab regions

Shopping experiences in the Arab world

Discover the Arab countries flags and their meaning

Introduction to Arab literature and poetry

Importance of calligraphy in the Arab world
