Intensive Language Courses available in summer 2026 term:
Holiday-ready Spanish (1-day intensive course): this one-day intensive course is designed for complete beginners who would like to feel more confident using Spanish while travelling in Spain or Latin America. Through practical, supported actvities, students will learn essential language for common holiday situations, such as checking into a hotel, ordering food and drinks, asking for directions, and using local transport.
Course Objectives The course focuses on spoken communication and confidence-building, with minimal emphasis on grammar. Students will take part in guided role-plays, interactive tasks, and real-life scenarios, allowing them to practise useful phrases in a relaxed and supportive environment.
By the end of the course, students will be able to:
Greet people and introduce themselves in Spanish
Order food and drinks in cafés and restaurants
Ask for prices and make simple purchases
Ask for and understand basic directions
Use key phrases for hotels, transport, and everyday travel situations
*This course is ideal for learners with no prior experience of Spanish. Those wishing to develop their language skills further may take a Level 1 Spanish course.
