Located within the Norwich Medical School at the University of East Anglia in Norfolk, the MoveX Lab facility offers a VO2 max and blood lactate (combined) testing service. A VO2 max test measures the maximum amount of oxygen the body can use during intense exercise, giving an overall indicator of aerobic capacity. A blood lactate test, on the other hand, measures how lactate levels change with increasing effort, helping to identify the point where fatigue is likely to set in. Together, these tests can be used to tailor training more effectively and track performance progress.

Detailed Description

Upon purchasing this product, you will receive an email from the UEA Store confirming your purchase. This email will also include instructions on how to complete the Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PAR-Q) and provide information on how to prepare for the tests. Once the PAR-Q has been completed and reviewed, a member of the MoveX Lab team will contact you to arrange a test appointment. When booking these tests, please notify the MoveX Lab team at least 24 hours in advance if rescheduling or cancellation is needed. Without sufficient notice, and unless there are extenuating circumstances, the appointment will be non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled.
