Access Dedicated Practice Facilities at the UEA Music Centre

The UEA Music Centre offers eight fully equipped Practice Rooms for individual practice and small ensemble rehearsals. Available exclusively to current UEA students and staff, these spaces provide an ideal environment for developing your musical skills throughout the academic year.

Facilities

Each Practice Room includes:

• A piano (Yamaha U1, U3, or G5 Grand Piano)
• A music stand
• A quiet, dedicated practice environment

Opening Hours

Practice Rooms are available:

08:00–22:00, seven days a week

Please note that the rooms are unavailable on customary and statutory holidays and may be closed on approximately five occasions per year for piano maintenance and audition activities.

Membership Period

Membership covers the 2026–27 academic year from 14 September 2026 to 12 September 2027.

Please note that Practice Room access is available only to current UEA students and staff. If you graduate or leave the University before September 2027, your membership and access will end when your student or staff status ceases.

Full Price

• UEA Staff (Full Price): £30 per year
• UEA Student (Full Price): £20 per year

Concession Rates

• UEA Staff (Concession): £15 per year

How to Apply

When submitting your application, please provide a valid UEA student or staff number. Your details will be used to activate your campus card for Practice Room access.

This membership scheme is available exclusively to current UEA students and staff and is not open to external applicants.

Once payment has been received and your status has been verified, you will receive a confirmation email granting access to the facilities. Please allow up to seven days for processing.
