Our Host Employed route is ideal for organisations who want to employ interns directly, but would like support with advertising their internship and processing applications.

Detailed Description

Under this route, you employ the intern directly through PAYE. You must pay the intern at least National Minimum Wage for their age. We do not accept internships where the intern is self-employed.

As the employer, you will need to draw up your own contract of employment and check the intern has the legal right to work in the UK before employment commences. This is your legal responsibility.

The UEA Internship Programme Team will:

• Provide advice on recruiting an intern
• Construct a vacancy advert that will be advertised to UEA students and/or recent graduates under the UEA Internship Programme on our MyCareerCentral website.
• Collect applications and forward them on to the internship host to shortlist and interview.
