DescriptionThis course is led by Adam Berry and Dave Shraga of Disability and Development Partners (DDP), a charity established in 1992 that works with disabled people and their organizations in low-income countries. The course will cover principles and practice in disability-inclusive project design and implementation, addressing disabling barriers both in the UK and the Global South, and tackling the challenge of reaching the most marginalized communities. You will also examine the roles of disabled people's organizations (DPOs) and international partners in creating inclusive livelihood initiatives, adapting to evolving real-world conditions, and integrating advocacy with practical action for lasting change.

These are in addition to the applied skills taught in many of your courses. These optional workshops last from one to three days. They are not compulsory and are not assessed. Rather, these sessions are an excellent opportunity to enhance your practical and employability skills as well as a valuable addition to your CV. Please be realistic about your possible workload and other commitments. If you sign up for a course, you are responsible for managing your time and any coursework deadlines accordingly. Please consult your course convenor if you are not sure. Fees: A £10 fee per day per course is charged to help cover the cost of materials, equipment and the fees of external trainers. It's also to ensure that those who register to attend do so because of genuine interest and are committed to attending. Waiting list: Spaces are limited for each course. If there are no available spaces on the course you will be added to a waiting list. If a registered participant later withdraws, then their place will be offered first to those on the waiting list.
