Description

Wednesday 25th – Thursday 26th June 2026: The conference explores key challenges and opportunities in researching women’s broadcasting histories on an international scale. This is with focus on the ‘limits of the archive’—the gaps and omissions in institutional and organisational archives regarding women’s work, the different national, linguistic and regional contexts in which women worked, and the value attributed to programming, labour and women audiences. We are inclusive in our definition of women.

Keynote Speakers:

Vicky Ball, De Montfort University

Christine Ehrick, University of Louisville

Industry Roundtable Speakers:

Helen Serafinowicz (Motherland, Amandaland)

Ruth Wrigley (Big Brother, The Big Breakfast, TOWIE)

Hannah Springham (Pineapple Studios)

Nina Nannar (Arts & Entertainment Correspondent for ITN)

Refreshments and lunch will be provided for in-person attendees at UEA.

Fees have been kept low to reflect the current precarity of the sector, if you feel able to support the event and the network, please select 'Salaried' option.

Online attendance for presenters should be agreed in advance for technical reasons.
