Course Description

Level 2 Classes: This course follows on from Level 1 and should not be taken unless the student has previous experience with Japanese to an appropriate level. This course aims to build on previous grammatical knowledge, and improve students’ understanding of hiragana and katakana.

 

Term duration 9 x weekly classes, Monday evenings, 6:15pm to 8:30pm (your last class will finish at 8:15pm).

Please note: There is no class on Mon 17 Feb. 

 

 

Key Language

Use verbs that take an object to describe a person’s actions 

e.g. Grey-san wa eiga o mimasu. / Grey-san wa Yoshida-san no uchi ni ikimasu./ Grey-san wa Yoshida-san ni mēru o kakimashita.  

 Describe actions with time expressions and frequency words as well as places and transportations 

e.g. Sasaki-san wa maiban jogingu o shimasu. /  Senshū resutoran de piza o tabemashita. / Basu de kūkō ni ikimasu. 

 Use adjectives to describe objects and impressions (in non-past and past forms) 

e.g. Sakura wa kirei na hana desu. / Grey-san no uchi wa ōkii desu. / Ano mise no rāmen wa totemo oishikatta desu.
