Level 5 Classes: This course suits people who have recently completed Level 4, or those who already have a solid foundation in Italian. It will allow them to communicate quite confidently about themselves, their environment, their past, and their future plans. This level will help you communicate with greater confidence about topics that go beyond your immediate environment, and to formulate your opinion on certain topics
In Level 5, we work at the B1 level of the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages)*.
Term duration: 10 x weekly classes, Monday evenings, 6:15pm to 8:15pm
No class on Mon 2 March
Communicative themes may cover:
Understanding (im)politeness and related cultural differences.
Accommodation: discussing new trends
Understanding documents about current and historical events.
Expressing one’s feelings about a place.
Talking/writing about cities - issues and developments.

Revisions from level 4
Simple conditional. E.g.Avrei una proposta da fare a tutti.
Passive form at the present. E.g. L' articoloè scritto dal giornalista.
Present subjunctive for feelings and opinions. E.g.Credo che siauna casacostosa.
Different use of‘conoscere’ and‘sapere’ at the present and past tenses.E.g. So che Marco è sposato ma non conosco sua moglie.
