DescriptionDate: Wed 15 January 2025 Time: 16.00-18.00 UK time. Platform: Zoom This short workshop introduces text classification with Large Language Models (LLMs). We mainly focus on the fundamentals of constructing an effective prompt, such as prompt structure and format, in-context learning, chain-of-thought prompting, 0-shot techniques etc. We also talk about common mistakes and things to avoid. We want to provide hands-on experiences with OpenAI’s GPT, showing how to use the OpenAI playground, the OpenAI API and different models (GPT 4, o1). You can bring your own text data to try out prompts. Putting 5$ credit with OpenAI is optional but recommended. Basic Python or JavaScript knowledge is useful but optional.
