New Work in Modernist Studies 14

The fourteenth conference on New Work in Modernist Studies (NWiMS) will take place at the University of East Anglia and online, on Friday 13th December 2024. NWiMS is the annual postgraduate conference of the British Association for Modernist Studies and is hosted in conjunction with the Welsh Network of Modernist Studies, the London Modernism Seminar, the Scottish Network of Modernist Studies, the Northern Modernism Seminar.

NWiMS is aimed at postgraduates and early career researchers and provides an opportunity for these scholars to share work in a supportive and inclusive environment, as well as to meet researchers from other institutions working on related topics. We welcome papers on any aspect of modernist culture, broadly conceived, and from any disciplinary perspective.

The day will include a plenary lecture with Dr Timothy Anderson (British Academy Postdoctoral Fellow, UEA), discussing his research on Wagnerism and its legacy for modernism.
