Description

This summer UEA will welcome this major conference in experimental philosophy, to campus. Keynote speakers include Emma Borg, Susan Gelman, Nat Hansen, Joshua Knobe, and Edouard Machery. The conference will also feature over 60 talks in parallel sessions, four interdisciplinary symposia, a poster session, and a work-in-progress workshop for early career researchers. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in the satellite workshop, Experimental argument analysis: Interdisciplinary perspectives on verbal reasoning, which starts on Wednesday, 9th July.   

The main conference will be 10th - 12 July and the conference dinner on 11th July can be purchased separately as you progress through your booking.

The most recent addition to the UEA campus - the New Science Building opened in 2019.

Home to state of the art teaching laboratories on the upper floors, and bright seminar rooms on the ground floor.

Located to the west of campus on Chancellor's Drive, the New Science Building is less than ten minutes walk from the main car park.

The EAA satellite meeting will be held at the historic Earlham Hall, home to UEA's Law school and the former home of the Gurney family, a wealthy banking family who merged business to form Barclays Bank and notably family members Elizabeth Fry and Joseph Gurney, social reformers and abolitionists. 


Set within parkland and established gardens, the venue provides space for thought and contemplation during your meeting.
