Principles of Coaching and Coaching Conversations

This one day workshop delivered by the University of East Anglia is funded by Norfolk & Waveney Integrated Care System (ICS) and is available to non-medical Educators (Nurses, midwives and AHPs), Legacy Nurses and Reservists working within the Norfolk & Waveney ICS. The workshop will encompass the theoretical aspects of coaching and involve some practical taster exercises. The day will include:

• An introduction to coaching.
• A look at the main types of coaching employed in the NHS: Health coaching, Skills and performance coaching, Developmental coaching, Transformational coaching and Career coaching
• The manager as coach
• Team and peer coaching
• The coaching mindset
• Coaching models
• Holding a coaching conversation
• Making the most of opportunities to hold a coaching conversation

Norfolk & Waveney ICS will also be organising some supplementary practical coaching sessions which will take place between January and March 2023. At the point of registration your details will be shared with the ICS to arrange the follow on 4hour session. Please ensure you have sought study leave approval to attend both elements of the training programme.
