Level 2 Classes: This course follows on from Level 1 and should not be taken unless the student has previous experience with Japanese to an appropriate level. This course aims to build on previous grammatical knowledge, and improve students’ understanding of hiragana and katakana.
Term duration 10 x weekly 2-hour classes, Tuesday evenings, 6:15pm to 8:15pm

Use verbs that take an object to describe a person’s actions e.g. Grey san wa eiga o mimasu. / Grey san wa Yoshida san ni aimasu. / Grey san wa Yoshida san ni tegami o kakimashita. / Grey san wa taishikan ni tegami o kakimashita.
Use adjectives to describe objects e.g. Sakura wa kirei na hana desu. / Grey san no uchi wa ookii desu.
Talk about giving and receiving e.g. Okada san wa Grey san ni tokei o agemashita. / Grey san wa Okada san ni tokei o moraimashita.
Invite someone to do something or make suggestions e.g. Isshoni Asakusa ni ikimasen ka? / doko de aimashou ka? / nimotsu o mochimashou ka?
