Detailed Description

How can we remember and honour people and things that are important to us? This two-hour workshop is a chance to explore Julian Stair's exhibition Art, Death and the Afterlife together as a family, and respond creatively in the studio using clay materials and techniques with associate artist Hannelore Baxter. This workshop is aimed at 5-11 year olds, but the whole family are welcome, and encouraged to take part together.

PLEASE NOTE: This workshop, and the Julian Stair: Art, Death and the Afterlife exhibition, will both feature the themes of death, loss and grief.  We will be inviting participants to think about people, pets or precious objects they have lost (and respond to these memories if they wish) during the workshop.  We are working closely with Cruse Bereavement Support to discuss death, loss and grief in an age-appropriate way.  A Cruse volunteer will be present at the workshop.
