UEA Choirs present Come and Sing Faure Requiem - Saturday 3 September 2022

Description

UEA Choirs invite you to join them for a one-day come and sing workshop on Fauré’s masterpiece, the Requiem, on Saturday 3 September at St Thomas Church (Earlham Road, Norwich).

With renowned conductor and vocal coach Tom Primrose, you’ll have the chance to rediscover this iconic work, discovering new details and fresh perspectives, as well as building your vocal technique and choral skills. The day concludes with a short concert, to which your family and friends are invited. Places for the day are limited, so book now to avoid disappointment.

Schedule for the day:

10-10:30am: Registration
10:30am-4:30pm: Workshop (with breaks)
4:30-5:10pm: Performance (friends and family welcome to attend)

* £10 Full price
* £5 Students

Please note:

* Scores will be provided on the day.

* You will need to bring your own refreshments & lunch; there are shops and cafes located nearby if you need to buy anything.

* There is non-permit parking around Edinburgh Road and the streets off it.

* Friends and family are welcome to attend the performance at 4.30pm.

* If you would like to join either UEA Choir or UEA Chamber Choir, please sign up for an audition. Auditions will take place on Friday 23 and Monday 26 September in the UEA Music Centre. Further details, including requirements, are available on the relevant ensemble pages of the UEA Music Centre website.

* We are no longer issuing physical tickets due to a combination of administrative, financial, and environmental concerns. This means that your confirmation email will be your ticket.

* We regret that we cannot exchange, refund or transfer tickets unless the event in question has been cancelled or rescheduled. There is an exemption in place for those who are forced to self-isolate due to COVID-19. If you need a refund due to self-isolation or COVID, please email [email protected] within 7 days of the event, including supporting evidence, and we will process a refund. * All profits from UEA Music Centre concerts are used to fund scholarships for students.
