Clinical Education Development Programme 2022

A series of six online short courses

All courses run from 9.30am until 4pm

The School of Health Sciences is delivering a multi professional clinical /practice educator development programme that has the following key learning aims;

• Offer a development program for all health care practitioners to undertake first steps in a Clinical/Practice Educator career pathway
• Provide a blended approach to support clinicians who may have varied educational backgrounds
• Allow existing or newly in position clinical educators to develop relevant awareness, skills and knowledge in key areas of education and practice learning
• Be a source of continual profession development for clinical staff supporting learners in healthcare settings
• Aid the support and learning needs for students on a range of educational programmes and be appropriate for social care as well as healthcare

The study day programme will access a range of topics linked to education and the support of student learning and assessment. Each study day will provide a range of virtual learning experiences delivered via either synchronous or asynchronously means online allowing practitioners to access relevant study material.

Practitioners attend six study days over a six month period and will undertake a range of activities and produce workbooks linked to a range of educational topics. The work generated by practitioners could also feed into the UEA Professional Recognition Portfolio credit-bearing module.
